The 4th of July always humbles me. I can't see this holiday as a beer and grilling commercial. I feel humbled at how lucky I was to be born in a country that I have the freedoms that I do.
I can drive a car, I can bare my arms and legs in public, I can shop without a chaperone, I can marry whom I choose, and I can vote. I have these rights and I know many do not. I hope other women in this country respect that we have a vote, and to cast it. We have a voice and so many women are silenced. We are an incredible sex. We create and nurture life. We are amazing.
I have wonderful women in my life that aspire to be more like. More caring, more loving, more patient, more focused, more passionate. I hope you recognize the amazing, wonderful, talented women in your life and let them know how much you value you them.
